  24. I guess it depends on what you're used to.  To me, interpreted languages
  25. are like taking a cab--you sit in the back seat and hope the driver speaks
  26. English.  C is like driving yourself--it requires more attention, but it's
  27. a lot more satisfying, and you can go wherever you want.

  29. I know this simile won't speak to people who for one reason or another
  30. can't or won't drive, but it works for me.  To put it in animist terms,
  31. ARexx is cute, but you can't plow the field with it.
